Organisation development

The project for a commercial department of an investment management company started with the question whether BTDI could carry out a sales training. However, during the intake it became clear that the employee performance was negatively influenced by several work and organisation related problems and performance issues were not caused by a lack of knowledge and quality on the part of the employees. The project therefore targeted the coaching of the account managers and front office employees in coping with stress and the considerable work pressure in the department. After a basic kick off training all employees were supported in effectively handling stress and work planning though individual coaching. With the aid of personal development plans employees are motivated to take initiative in solving problems and in improving communication and coordination both within their own department as well as with other departments. Coaching and development of the employees is directly linked with the short and medium term policies and targets of the department. With this approach new ideas are developed and the cooperation with other departments is significantly improved.
